About Bevza
Bevza is Ukrainian resilience woven into fabric. Founded in Kyiv in 2006 by designer Svitlana Bevza, the brand has become synonymous with refined minimalism infused with national pride. Bevza’s signature “”less and luxe”” aesthetic features clean silhouettes, sharp tailoring, soft color palettes (particularly the iconic white dress), and an unwavering commitment to showcasing Ukrainian cultural codes in contemporary ways. What makes Bevza particularly poignant is how it has evolved amid Ukraine’s ongoing struggle. The brand’s Spikelet jewelry (inspired by wheat, a symbol of Ukraine’s agricultural heritage and what its people are fighting to protect) has become a powerful emblem of national identity. Since Russia’s 2022 invasion, these pieces have been worn by Ukrainians worldwide as a symbol of connection to their homeland and solidarity with those still there. Despite personal upheaval (Bevza fled Ukraine with her two children), the designer has maintained production in Kyiv, employing Ukrainian artisans and preserving traditional craftsmanship techniques. The brand uses sustainable materials, including recycled ocean plastics in collaboration with Italian producers, and has been committed to ethical practices since 2018. Bevza won the Vogue Talent Contest in 2013, debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2017, and is now stocked in prestigious retailers like The Frankie Shop, Moda Operandi, and SSENSE. Worn by Pamela Anderson, Sandra Oh, and Jenna Ortega, Bevza proves that fashion can carry deep cultural meaning while remaining commercially successful and globally relevant.
