Founded in Stockholm in 1993 by Filippa Knutsson, Karin Hellners, and Patrik Kihlborg, Filippa K is a Swedish fashion house that pioneered the now-iconic aesthetic of Scandinavian minimalism. The brand offers complete wardrobes of timeless womenswear and menswear staples designed to last, with a strong focus on sustainability and mindful consumption. Filippa K operates stores in key European cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Berlin, maintains an e-commerce presence in over 70 markets, and works with 600+ retailers globally. The company releases four collections annually alongside the Soft Sports line, shoes, and accessories. In 2022, Liisa Kessler (formerly of Chloé, Lanvin, and Saint Laurent) became Creative Director. The brand is B-Corp certified and leads sustainability initiatives including the Swedish Wool Initiative (partnered with Axfoundation) and a Fiber Traceability project using QR codes for full supply chain transparency on wool garments. In 2024, Anna Teurnell was appointed Creative Lead to further develop the brand’s next generation of iconic products.
